HAMAS INFILTRATES ASHKELON & ASHDOD; Egypt border crossing struck – Israel-Hamas War SITREP Day 4
Israel continues its massive bombing campaign within the Gaza strip, of particular, hitting the Rafah Crossing (border crossing between Egypt and Gaza Strip), causing the border crossing to close after only just reopened after repairs.
Hamas/Palestinian forces largely struggles to hold any positions in the southern and eastern front in the Gaza sector, as evident by the number of rocket shelling the Palestinians conducted onto settlements that should be under their control – signaling the possibility that they had been abandoned by the Palestinians.
However, Palestinian fighters seemed to continue to be able to exit the Gaza border to conduct raids and infiltrations, and seen by the fighting between Kfar Aza and Sa’ad. Kfar Aza is also confirmed to be under Israeli control after reports of the Israeli authorities recovering bodies in the town.
Fighting in Sderot had also seemed to had subsided with no more fighting reported in the city; meaning Israeli forces may have full secured the town. Fighting however is reported nearby in the town of Mefalsim.
In the Northern Front, Hamas forces are more intent to hold position, as fighting continues over in the Zikim region as well as new fighting reported in the industrial zone of Ashkelon.
Hamas “commandos” continues to wreck havoc in the rear positions as fighting was reported at Ashkelon and Ashdod, far away from the current known frontlines.
In the West Bank region, Palestinians armed groups continues to sporadically attack Israeli security forces across multiple locations with the most significant being the fighting at the Nitsanei Oz checkpoint.
Israeli forces launched airstrikes against Hezbollah elements and outpost in retaliation of Hezbollah attacks and shelling across the Lebanon-Israeli border.
