Palace instructs MPs to vote on new PM in writing

Istana Negara has instructed members of the Dewan Rakyat to submit their choice of prime minister in writing. The MPs will have until 4pm tomorrow to do so. Their letters have to be certified as true. This instruction – sighted by Malaysiakini – was sent by Dewan Rakyat speaker Azhar Azizan Harun to all MPs this morning.

DPA Notes: So if this turns out to be true, then we would have made the wrong assessment that the King would drag it out with Muhyiddin to stay as the caretaker PM for at least another year.

Not exactly sure how is this a wise move nor a representation of the will of the people of Malaysia.

And how would the new PM able to take over the role and job of the PM while the entire country is half paralyzed by the pandemic is anyone’s guess.
