New Russian Narratives: 3 New Justifications For War – in the middle of the war

In the past 24 to perhaps 48 hours, 3 major accusations or narrative had been thrown up by the Russian side – all of them can be good enough to be justification of war on top of the official reasons Putin had spelt out.

The 3 new narratives are:

  1. Ukraine President Zelenskyy alluded in his speech at the Munich Security Conference where he somewhat passive-aggressively threatened “the West” to either provide Ukraine with the “promised” security or Ukraine will abandon the Budapest Memorandum – which would mean Ukraine would be free to acquire/develop Nuclear Weapon

Ukraine has received security guarantees for abandoning the world’s third nuclear capability. We don’t have that weapon. We also have no security. We also do not have part of the territory of our state that is larger in area than Switzerland, the Netherlands or Belgium. And most importantly – we don’t have millions of our citizens. We don’t have all this.

Therefore, we have something. The right to demand a shift from a policy of appeasement to ensuring security and peace guarantees.

Since 2014, Ukraine has tried three times to convene consultations with the guarantor states of the Budapest Memorandum. Three times without success. Today Ukraine will do it for the fourth time. I, as President, will do this for the first time. But both Ukraine and I are doing this for the last time. I am initiating consultations in the framework of the Budapest Memorandum. The Minister of Foreign Affairs was commissioned to convene them. If they do not happen again or their results do not guarantee security for our country, Ukraine will have every right to believe that the Budapest Memorandum is not working and all the package decisions of 1994 are in doubt.

The above speech could also be the REAL trigger for Putin to made the absolute decision to “end it once and for all”.

2. Biological Weapon development between United States and Ukraine in the immediate vicinity of the territory of Russia.

The Russian Ministry of Defense published the alleged instructions from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, on the destruction of pathogens in the biological laboratories in Poltava and Kharkiv. (DPA cannot independently read and verify the documents as we are unable to read Ukrainian)

It was suggested by the Russian sources that The Pentagon has serious concern of the revelation of such secret biological experiments being conducted in Ukraine; and that with the above received documents, Russia can confirm that the Ukrainian biological laboratories are developing biological weapon components.

Russia highlighted that this is a violation by United States and Ukraine of Article 1 of the UN Convention on the Prohibition of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons, and that the Ukrainian Ministry of Health sent an instruction to all biological labs to urgently eliminate stored stocks of dangerous pathogens.

The Russian Ministry of Defence also announce that they intend to present the results of the analysis of the received documents in the near future.

“We have received from employees of Ukrainian biological laboratories documentation on the emergency destruction of especially dangerous pathogens of plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases on February 24.

The documents received confirm that the development of biological weapons components was carried out in Ukrainian biolaboratories, in close proximity to the territory of Russia.”

3. Russia had found direct evidence through the discovery of a NATO laptop from a Right Sector headquarter that Ukraine was planning to launch a military offensive on Donbass and Crimea on the 8 of March 2022.

“The DPR People’s Militia in the headquarters of the Right Sector (banned in Russia) near the village of Berdyanskoye found a laptop that has a license number of the NATO register.

It contained a detailed map of the area with the plotted location of the units of the DPR Armed Forces. In the same laptop, maps of the Crimea were found indicating the alleged location of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as the point of entry and advancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to DPR intelligence and testimonies of Ukrainian prisoners, the offensive operation was supposed to begin on March 8, 2022. A one-time invasion of the territory of the DPR and Crimea was planned.

Russia promptly launched an operation to assist the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. This made it impossible to carry out the enemy’s plans to kill hundreds of thousands of people.

….the attack was planned from land and sea.”

Chairman of Donetsk Republic, Denis Pushilin said that on March 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine planned operations to seize Donbass and Crimea

Right Sector (Ukrainian: Пра́вий се́ктор, Pravyi sektor) is a right-wing to far-right Ukrainian nationalist neo-nazi political party and paramilitary movement. It originated in November 2013 as a paramilitary confederation of several radical nationalist organizations at the Euromaidan revolt in Kyiv, where its street fighters participated in clashes with riot police. The coalition became a political party on 22 March 2014, at which time it claimed to have roughly 10,000 members.

It was said that the military offensive will be supported by NATO, however, it wasn’t clear how NATO would be supporting the planned Ukrainian offensive to recapture Donbass and Crimea.

The laptop however looks authentic with the “right stickers” on it as well as the “right type of laptop” which is typical of military use laptops. However, it is not certain if the claims that this was recovered from a Right Sector HQ.

It is also hard to conceive that Ukraine would dare to launch a military offensive against Russian held Crimea (although Donbass would be believable, since Ukraine is already fighting there for 8 years).

All 3 new narrative/story came out within a 24-48 hours span of times, particularly the NATO and the Biological Weapon one coming out together on the same day around the same time.

However, while it might seem wild, all these claims are believable, as Ukraine is bidding to revamp itself into a modern European country under Zelenskyy, with intention to make Ukraine a respected and strong country – free from Russian interference:

– to develop nuclear weapons as a backup should their NATO bid fail;
– or to work closely with United States on some kind of weapon of mass destruction to either “please USA” or to have something that can change the tide of war against a massively more powerful military in Russia;
– or to have a battleplan to reclaim their loss territory with the support of their “new friends”

These are all not far-fetched narrative.

But given how Russia is being isolated and “cancelled” by the world – and the trust deficit Russia have with the rest of the world, it would likely, like the accusation of violence against civilians in Donbass by the Ukrainian military – would be ignored, brushed aside and promptly under-reported… and then forgotten…
