[ Siversk Front Analysis ] Strategic importance of Rozdolivka to Ukraine’s line east of Siversk

Update from the Siversk Front: Some of the fiercest fighting had been reported in the direction of Rozdovlivka, with the Ukrainian pouring troops into the area of prevent a Russian breakthrough.

And this is for a good reason: Rozdovlivka represents one of the southern lynchpin to the entire Siversk salient.

The fall of the position may allow the Russian to turn northwards and cut off resupply and communications to the Ukrainian forces over at Ivano-Darivka, Vyimka, Vesele, Bilohorivka (Donetsk), Berestove and Spirne.

As such, too many much is at stake for the Ukrainians to allow the Russians to make any more progress over at this part of the frontline.
