[ Bakhmut Front ] PRIGOZHIN/WAGNER ANNOUNCE CAPTURE OF BAKHMUT; Not acknowledged by Ukraine side yet

Latest Russian frontline at Bakhmut City. Rybar’s mapping (pro-russian) had it extended well to the tree lines west of Bakhmut City. Russian forces are already preparing defense lines to defend the city.

Ukrainian mappings had not caught up nor even acknowledged Wagner’s claims. Last update still talking about fighting at SW corner of Bakhmut.

Rumors of Ukrainian forces abandoning Khromove as well… not confirmed yet.

The Battle of Bakhmut is not over. This is not Mariupol. The city is not encircled. Ukrainian forces could very well counter attack and recapture part of the city. ESPECIALLY, if Wagner is replaced by less capable troops that cannot valiantly hold position.
