[ Battle of Soledar ] Encirclement of Ukraine troops; retreat road threatened @ Silj & Krasnopolivka

Update from the Bakhmut Front: Russian forces advanced quickly in Soledar, capturing the hospital and Salt Mine No.4, as such, closing the retreat route of any Ukrainian forces currently still fighting in the city center.

Ukrainian forces currently only holding 15-20% of Soledar, mainly on the western side around Salt Mine No.7. Encircled Ukrainian forces numbers between 300-400 troops.

Wider Russian pincer continues on Soledar, as fighting is now reported at Blahodatne in the south, and Silj & Krasnopolivka in the north. As Krasna Hora & Paraskoviivka is currently contested, the only retreat route is northward towards Siversk via Silj and Krasnopolivka.

The fact that Russian forces are already attacking Silj and Krasnopolivka, means that the retreat route may close within a day or 2 – leaving Ukrainian forces in west Soledar with only the inefficient westward grid-like route through the farmlands roads.
