Jorge “Ka Oris” Madlos, Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) – New People’s Army (NPA)’s spokesperson/commander killed
According to the Philippine News Agency of the Filipino government, Jorge Madlos, also known as Ka Oris, is killed in an operation in Impasugong, Bukidnon, Mindanao. Madlos is the spokesperson of the New People’s Army (NPA) and is the most wanted NPA commander in Mindanao.
Madlos was facing multiple cimrinal cases such as robbery with homicide, damage to properties, murder and double frustrated murder.
He killed when the Armed Forces of Philippines’s 403rd Infantry Brigade of the 4th Infantry Division (4ID) launched operation in response to information provided by residents of Sitio Gabunan in Barangay Dumalaguing that armed groups, believed to be member of the National Operations Command (NOC) of the CPP-NPA Komiteng Mindanao, Regional Operations Command, and Guerilla Front 89 of the North Central Mindanao Regional Command, were conducting indoctrination in the area.
After a 30 minute firefight, troops clearing the area discovered 2 bodies with 1 x M14 rifle, 1 x KG9 rifle and ammunitions and other items. One of the fatality was later confirmed to be Madlos, and Eighfel Dela Pena, a medic of the NOC.
Madlos’ wife, Myrna Sularte is the secretary of the North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee.

His death could be the final blow for the eventual collapse of the communist terrorist group here,”
