Taliban: The war is over in Afghanistan

Taliban spokesman, Mohammad Naeem, for the Taliban’s political office told Al-Jazeera Mubasher TV that the war is over and that the type of rule and the form of regime will be clear soon.

This happens as Afghanistan President, Ashraf Ghani fled Afghanistan to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, saying that he wanted to avoid bloodshed – a move that surprised both loyalist and the Taliban. Afghans are people with fierce pride and honor, cowardice and shame is something they avoid or to be avenged.

To the Taliban, the retaking of the country represents the liberation of a colonised/occupied country.

“We have reached what we were seeking, which is the freedom of our country and independence of our people”.

Taliban had guaranteed, that no diplomatic body, foreign headquarters will be targeted. All citizens and diplomatic mission safety will be provided.

“We are ready to have a dialogue with all Afghan figures and will guarantee them the necessary protection”, claims the Taiban spokesman. Emphasizing on the theme of dialogue, he says that the Taliban is ready to deal with the concerns of the international community through dialogue, but warned foreign countries from interfering with their country and their internal affairs. Several channel of communications is said to be developed and opened with foreign countries, staying on the theme of dialogue, “to settle any issues”.

The collapse is reminisce of the US repeat withdrawal of Saigon, South Vietnam as their forces collapse just as rapidly then as it did now.

As of this article, chaos is reportedly ragin at Kabul airport as people are trying to leave the country. However, they will no longer be able to leave the airport compound without facing a Taliban checkpoint. As of this moment, US forces has being expanded to 6000 troops to boost the defense of the airport to facilitate the evacuation process.

Americans is understood to be prioritized in the evacuated, while they planned to evacuate locally employed staffs and their families over the coming days.

According to the FlightRadar24, it looks like the evacuees are being sent to United Arab Emirates (UAE) or Saudi Arabia – noticeably, avoiding Iran airspace entirely (as these are US military aircrafts)
