Failure to evacuate Afghan contractors will have dire consequences for the rest of US foreign deployments around the world
Rumour appear on twitter that translators in Africa are quitting on the US military

BFF deployed to Africa tells me that all of their translators have quit & nobody wants to work with the US military right now…
This is perhaps one of the first signal that a impending translator drought (or local guide for that matter) for US foreign operations/deployment.
Locally employed guides and translator (or even any workers) by the US in foreign lands like countries in Africa, in Iraq, and others are watching closely the situation in Afghanistan, as it may represent a foreshadowing of what would happen to them, the day US forces/deployments withdraw from their country.
Multiple reports can be seen on twitter, of people trying to help the translators they know to get into the airport. Many of them seemed to be still trapped outside the airport despite having paperwork / application pending.

Those that failed to get evacuated may face torture or execution by the Taliban. For some, death has already came.

Taliban again executed two Afghan translators, who used to as translator with the US army, Qayel Mohammad and Ibrahim Mohammad.
The Taliban beheaded an Afghan man who had worked as a translator for the U.S. Army, according to reports.
Sohail Pardis, 32, had been driving from his home in Kabul on May 12 to pick up his sister ahead of Eid, a Muslim holiday, according to The Sun.
But on the drive, Pardis — who had told friends he was receiving Taliban death threats because the terror group suspected him of being a spy — was stopped at a checkpoint manned by the militant group.
“They were telling him you are a spy for the Americans, you are the eyes of the Americans and you are infidel, and we will kill you and your family,” his friend and co-worker Abdulhaq Ayoubi told CNN.
Pardis tried to drive through but wasn’t seen again.
The Red Crescent relief organization reported that villagers said the Taliban shot at his car — and once it stopped, pulled him out and beheaded him.
The Taliban have sentenced the brother of an Afghan translator to death, according to letters obtained by CNN, accusing him of helping the US and providing security to his brother, who served as an interpreter to American troops.
A former service member who worked with the translator confirmed his service and his brother’s plight.
The letters are just one example of how the Taliban are directly threatening Afghans who worked with the US or are family members of those who have, leaving them scrambling to flee the country in the wake of the Taliban takeover.
All the contractors, translators and guides employed by the US foreign service or US military would be watching – and if the public perception of the evacuation turns awry – and that if the prevailing opinion is that USA would abandon people who have risked their lives to work for them – then the aftermath might be mass resignations by local contractors/vendors across all US deployments, and such an event will likely impact the work USA is doing in all these foreign lands heavily.
